The Harris Conservatory for the Arts, a 501 (c) (3) organization, was formed to serve as a cultural center for the arts, and to act as a resource for children, adults and artists who seek to enrich their lives through arts education and activities. The goal of the Conservatory is to provide services to the underprivileged and disabled in the hope that everyone will have the opportunity to benefit from experience in the arts. Our organization believes that the arts can positively change lives and reach those who cannot otherwise be reached.

Wednesday September 24, 2014- Watercolor Workshop for Beginners! This two-hour workshop will discuss materials and techniques used in watercolor. Students will complete a painting during the class. All materials will be provided. $25 for the one-night workshop. Space is limited. Call 570-718-0673 to register.
Wednesday October 8, 2014- 5:00 p.m. Auditions for the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker.
Moscow Ballet casts youth dancers in ancillary roles performing side-by-side with the full Russian company. Roles for youth dancers in the Great Russian Nutcracker include Party Children, Mice, Snowflakes, Angels, Snow Maidens and more.
Applicants must be 7 to 16 years old and a maximum of 5’ tall. Applicants must have at least one year of ballet experience and must bring their signed registration form to the audition.
Applicants must be dressed in ballet attire of black leotard and pink tights - please bring pointe shoes if on pointe. A prepared piece will NOT be needed. Applicants will be notified at the audition if they have been selected and should be prepared to stay after the audition for rehearsal.
